SUNDAY MORNINGS

I love sunday mornings. The quit empty streets make me feel very at ease and relaxed. This morning me and B took Berre out for a walk and past by our favorite magazine store. We stacked up on magazines and walked home.
After some not so good days it was great to start of the sunday morning like this. Now I am back behind my lap top trying to get started on my thesis. But I am very tempted to bake something today. So I think I might move myself to the kitchen. It's sunday after all, not a day to do something stressful.

FUNKY DAY

Today is a day when nothing seems to work. A stupid misunderstanding with my boss. Where I feel very frustrated. A thesis that just doesn't seem to be getting finished. Ever! Just a general feeling that this day sucks! So what to do? 

Taking in a few deep breaths. Try to get the frown of my head and just get on with my day. But still I am working my ass of with at work filling in with for everybody and working way more then I should be. I think I deserve some credit. Arrrgg! 

So I got that of my chest. So maybe today I will focus on my own art dealing business. I have to photograph the paintings I bought and see when the next auction is. 

I am on the hunt for the perfect sweater. I think I got pretty close today. But this one is still my favorite!

I FEEL LIKE BAKING

As I pretend with my friends and random people I meet to be a real princess in the kitchen. I am starting to realize that the truth might be far from it. The results are more often than not mediocre at it's best. My boyfriend is sweet he says my cooking is delicious. (But he is used to his moms cooking and I think she doesn't now pepper and salt) There are some dishes that over time I have fine tuned and I can honestly say that they are quit good. My pasta bolognese is one of these. But I have to say that this has more to do with my moms Ethiopian spice mixture I can't live without. Everything will taste good and exotic with that mixture.

The other thing is baking. I read about it a lot and I can spend hours just looking at pictures and recipes on the internet. (the blog call me cupcake is one of my favorites!) In my head I've been making these wonderful layered cakes and cupcakes and the most delicious macarons. But the sad truth is, the best thing i've made is a lemon cake with a box where they put on the recipe! Ouch!

I blame my kitchen, honestly who can work in a small  old galley kitchen like mine? And really, I don't have all the right equipment either. So who can blame me? And my supermarket doesn't have all the fancy ingredients from these recipes. So when i figured out all these obstacles, I know for sure that I will be one of these women who can whip up a five coarse meal for 10.

So maybe tonight, after a day of browsing Martha Stewarts recipes, I will try a simple cupcake.

WEDDINGS, WEDDINGS, WEDDINGS

Well it really is wedding season for me. As I am hitting my late twenties people seem be to be popping out babies and getting hitched all around me. I have been sceptic for a while but after I've attended some of the most romantic and fantastic weddings and seem some of the cutest babies ever. Things are starting to itch. I want to be as gorgeous looking as my friend S, and have a the pretties babygirls as my friend C. But after contemplating these options I realize it's not for me, jet.... So my dear boyfriend can exhale and relax. For Now!

I've been wanting this sweater for a long time. I think it's the perfect pop of color that my wardrobe really needs. I've finally decided that I can have it. Or not? Even with discount it's a little out of my budget. But I am really in love with it! Arrrggg! I don't know!
I think I have to sleep on it another night.

KEEPING FOCUST IS LIKE AN ART

Another day spend behind my lap top. Luckily I had a little break from writing when I was working in the shop for a couple of hours. Sale started today and it's been crazy!
At the moment I a completely stressed out. How will I ever finish! It just seems like I never will. Graduating just seems so far away at the moment. I have these moment of insecurity when I just think that I will never succeed in anything. God how depressing is that! Anyway I decided to have a look at my inspiration folder.
